Mnemonics naming rules

Some mnemonics names must applies for the rules included in the following table. A variable that apply for a mnemonic rule may not be connected to an other mnemonic even if that mnemonic has no rule.
connection type rule description connections
Equipment To connect a variable to the equipment mnemonics, the variable name declared in STraToN dictionary must be preceded by the prefix "E_". The "E_" prefix stands for Equipment.

Equipment
Equipment_Bridge
Equipment_Wiper
Fault To connect a variable to the Fault mnemonics, the variable name declared in STraToN dictionary must be preceded by the prefix "D_". The prefix "D_" stands for Default.

Fault
Fault_Bridge
Fault_Wiper
Fault_Wiper_Park
Threshold-Fault
Frequency inputs A frequency input mnemonic is presented by two variables in the STraToN Dictionary. The first variable name must have a "_L" as suffix, the second variable must have the suffix "_M". The frequency value is written on four bytes. the variables with the suffix "_L" hold the two Less significant bytes, the other variable, having "_M" as suffix, holds the MSB part of the value.

Input_Freq
Input_Freq_ON
Input_Freq_OFF

Warning : For an input or output, you must take care with the mnemonic name with or without prefix. If you use a mnemonic with a prefix "D_" , "I_", "E_", etc.
The mnemonic name between mnemonic with prefix and mnemonic without prefix must be different.
Example 1:
The mnemonic "name"to read the "Threshold-Fault" of an input like UINx is "D_Name". So you will not be able to use a mnemonic "xxName" to read the "Input_Boo" status.
You must declare two mnemonics like this:
  • For the "Threshold-Fault" mnemonic, you must declare "D_Name1" .
  • For the "Input_Boo" mnemonic, you must declare "Name2"
  • Example 2:
The mnemonic "name" to read the "Equipment" of an input like OUTx is "E_Name". So you will not be able to use a mnemonic "xxName" to read the "Output_Boo" status.
You must declare two mnemonics like this:
  • For the "Equipment" mnemonic, you must declare "E_Name1"
  • For the "Output_Boo" mnemonic, you must declare "Name2"
