Actimux Power15 Analogue inputs: INA

Analogue inputs of POWER ECU can be configured either as:
              -      NOT Used
              -      Analogue input Used

The INA configuration is chosen by the parameter “Mode”.

1 - Analogue input “Not Used”

If the input’s Mode parameter is set to “not used“. The input is not considered, and there are no parameters or mnemonics to connect. Only the Mode parameter is available to allow the use of the input (moving to Analogue input used configuration).

2 - Analogue input used

This input is dedicated for resistance measurement with two possible ranges:

  1. High resistance measurement: 3 Ohms to 500 Ohms with accuracy less than 10%.
  2. Low resistance measurement: 500 Ohms to 10K Ohms with accuracy less than 5%.

The input value is available for Application as an analogue value with the mnemonic “Input_Ana”. This value is given in 0.01 Ohms if Low range is used and in 1 Ohms the input is used for high range measurement.

A valid range can be defined with 2 thresholds adjustable by parameter from Application Software. See model below.

The “threshold_fault” value indicates to the Application that the input is outside the valid range.

The fault detection is monitored by the Equipment Variable (more details).

It's possible to apply a filtering on this input.

The filtering gain is adjustable with parameter “Filtering value”. The filtering value is adjustable between 5ms to 480ms.

The recurrence period of the ANA frame is set through the “Recurr. Period: Frame ANA” parameter which is common for all INA inputs of the POWER ECU. This frame is sent by the POWER ECU slave to the master to inform about its input value.

: It is not possible to move to “Not used” configuration while mnemonics are connected.
