Actimux Power15 Universal input: UIN

Universal inputs are logical inputs which can be used either as:

-      LS logical input
-      HS logical input
-      Analogue input dedicated to resistance
-      Analogue input dedicated to voltage measurement

The UIN configuration is chosen by the parameter “Mode”.

1 - Low side configuration characteristics

The active level is: tied to GND
Inactive level is: open circuit
The cleaning contact current is: 10mA at +VBAT=28V

The input status is available for the application with the mnemonics “Input_Boo”.

The logical thresholds are adjustable by parameter “high threshold” and “low threshold”.

See model below.

The area between the two thresholds works as a hysteresis for the input status. The input status remains active until the level is higher than the inactive level and the input remains inactive until the level is below the active level.

The “threshold_fault” value indicates to the Application that the input is between the two thresholds.

The fault detection is monitored by the Equipment Variable (more details).

It's possible to apply a filtering on this input.

The filtering gain is adjustable with parameter “Filtering value”. The filtering is ajustable between 5ms to 480ms.

2 - High side configuration characteristics

The active level is: tied to VBAT
Inactive level is: open circuit
The cleaning contact current is: 10mA at +VBAT=28V

The input status is available for the application with the mnemonic “Input_Boo”.

The logical thresholds are adjustable by parameter “high threshold” and “low threshold”.

See model below:

3 - Analogue input dedicated to resistance measurement characteristics

The valid range is 500 Ohms to 10K Ohms with accuracy less than 10%

The input value is available for Application as an analogue value with the mnemonic “Input_Ana”. This value is given in ohm.

A valid range can be defined with 2 adjustable thresholds “high threshold” and “low threshold”. See model below.

The “threshold_fault” value indicates to the Application that the input is outside the valid range.

The fault detection is monitored by the Equipment Variable (more details).

It's possible to apply a filtering on this input.

The filtering gain is adjustable with parameter “Filtering value”. The filtering is adjustable between 5ms to 480ms.

4 - Analogue input dedicated to voltage measurement characteristics

The valid range is 0 to 24V with accuracy less than 4% for middle range.

The input value is available for Application as an analogue value with the mnemonic “Input_Ana” . This value is given in mV.

A valid range can be defined with 2 thresholds adjustable by parameter from Application Software. See model below.

The “threshold_fault” value indicates to the Application that the input is outside the valid range.

The fault detection is monitored by the Equipment Variable (more details).

The filtering gain is adjustable with parameter “Filtering value”. The filtering is adjustable between 5ms to 480ms.
