Actimux Power33 : UIN inputs description

Universal inputs are logical inputs which can be used either as:

1 - LS logical input
2 - HS logical input
3 -Analogue input dedicated to resistance
4- Analogue input dedicated to voltage measurement
5 -Filtering Characteristics

 The UIN configuration is chosen by the parameter “Mode”

1- LS logical input

The active level is: tied to GND
Inactive level is: open circuit
The cleaning contact current is: 10mA at +VBAT=28V

1.1 - Parameters

Category Parameter Description
General Filtering value The filtering gain is adjustable between 5ms to 480ms.
Low threshold The logical thresholds are adjustable by parameter “high threshold” and “low threshold”. See model below.
The area between the two thresholds works as a hysteresis for the input status. The input status remains active until the level is higher than the inactive level and the input remains inactive until the level is below the active level.

Mnemonic STraToN Type Description
Input_Boo BOOL This boolean value give the status of the inputs
TRUE for active level
FALSE for Inactive level
Threshold_fault BOOL This value indicates to the Application that the input is between the two thresholds.
Equipment BOOL The usage of the variable of default "Threshold_fault" is not active while the variable connected to this mnemonic has its value to 'False' ( more details ).

2- HS logical input

The active level is: tied to VBAT
Inactive level is: open circuit

3 - Analogue input dedicated to resistance

The valid range is 200 Ohms to 5 KOhms with accuracy less than 10%

3.1 - Parameters

General Filtering value The filtering gain is adjustable between 5ms to 480ms.
Low threshold A valid range can be defined with 2 adjustable thresholds.
In a diagnostic session the value Sent by the ECU to the Diagnostic Tool is expressed in a unit 2 ohms. See model below.
High threshold
recurr. period Frame ANA_F2 This parameter is common for all UIN inputs and the sensor_Sup1 used as oil measurement function.
This frame is carrying the UIN Resistance or voltage values for UIN inputs. And the voltage difference for sensor supply output. The resolutions are :
  • 2 ohms for UIN resistance values.
  • 10 mV for UIN voltage values.
  • 1 mV for OIL delta voltage (for sensor supply use).

    4 -Analogue input dedicated to voltage measurement

    The active level is: tied to VBAT
    Inactive level is: open circuit
    The cleaning contact current is: 10mA at +VBAT=28V
    The voltage measurement range is 0-32v.
