  1. Open plug connection S1. Measure resistance between socket contacts 8 and 44 of cable 1.
    RTarget = see above table. If R = RTarget, continue with 5.
  2. Open S3. Check resistance between pin contacts a and Z of cable harness or N1 contacts of measuring cable. RTarget = see above table.
  3. Remove control cover. Open S4. Measure resistance between socket contacts 3 and 1 of connection for oil temperature sensor.
  4. Remove oil pan. Open S5. At TB accumulator: Measure resistance between pin contacts of oil temperature sensor. RTarget = see above table.
  5. Check resistance between contact 8 and vehicle ground at open plug connection S1.
    RTarget = ∞ Ω.
  6. Check resistance between contact 44 and vehicle ground. RTarget = ∞ Ω.
  7. Check resistance between contact a and ground at open plug connection S3.
    RTarget = ∞ Ω.
  8. Check resistance between contact Z and ground. RTarget = ∞ Ω.
  9. Check resistance between contact 1 and ground at open plug connection S4.
    RTarget = ∞ Ω.
  10. Check resistance between each contact and ground at open plug connection S5.
    RTarget = ∞ Ω.
