Function of the fault memory

Read or clear fault memory

The fault memory of the transmission control unit can be read out using DIWAgnosis.

In addition to "where?" the fault has occurred (fault location) the user obtains a detailed description of the fault (fault type).

The ambient conditions provide information on the transmission's condition when the fault occurred.

The keys "NEXT (F2)" and "LAST (F3)" allow the user to go to the next or previous fault if the memory contains more than one fault.

Modifying the fault memory

After the fault memory has been viewed, it can be cleared via the "DELETE (F5)" key in the control unit. The "LIB (F6)" function enables the user to display such data that are not yet present but have already been read ou.

Existing files are displayed and can be selected from the list. Selected files can be copied to a disk via the "COPY (F3)" key. Files can also be deleted "DELETE (F4)".
