The gear information of the gear range selector is incorrect:

At least one of the CAN signals ´Requested Gear´ or ´Requested Range´ delivers a fault identification.

With DIWA.5 ´Requested Gear´ serves to read the information on the driving direction; ´Requested Range´ is used to determine the allowed gear range.

Effects on the driving operation

Driving is not possible.

The transmission shifts to neutral.

The optional limp-home switch allows continuing the drive.

Possible causes

Defect of the Voith CAN gear range selector or defect of the MAN-FFR (vehicle control computer) for systems without Voith CAN gear range selector.

The message TC1 is affected.
