Using the Message window

The Message window displays the communication data between ALADIN and a connected transmission control unit in hexadecimal values (the LIDs). It also displays debugging messages, e.g., when individual diagnostic functions are called up.

In the Message window, you can see whether data is actually transmitted between ALADIN and a connected transmission control unit, e.g., if communication problems have occurred.

The Message window provides important information for experts and Voith developers. It is not used for diagnostic purposes.

How to open the Message window:

The Message window is opened automatically when ALADIN is started, provided the "Show controller responses (RCV messages)" option or the "Show texter requests (TX messages" option has been activated in the ALADIN Setup. To do so, activate: Setup > General > Show... If you reactivate the option, the Message window will be opened at the next ALADIN start.
