Important note on Power Management |
If the Power Management on your PC is not set to 'Standard PC', ALADIN might not be able to communicate with the transmission control unit using the serial interface (RS232 / COM1). This problem may occur if only the serial K-line interface (serial level converter) is used. For further information, please see: Setting the Power Management to 'Standard PC'.
ALADIN uses ActiveX elements. This includes the ALADIN ActiveX that controls the communication with the transmission control units E30 / E300.1 and the samDiaX Active X that is a standardized runtime environment for diagnostic applications. ActiveX control elements are software components based on the Common Object Model (COM) by Microsoft which can be used for various purposes and can be installed in any container application. For further information on ActiveX control elements, please refer to www.msdn.microsoft.com.
