Display selected operating data in the report

Operating data make the Voith automatic transmissions the source of information in the vehicle. Operating data is used to reduce operation expenses, increase availability, optimize the drive line configuration, etc... For this purpose, all the relevant data is recorded, classified and cumulated by the transmission control unit over the complete transmission runtime.

Operating data is displayed in the ECU report according to the following areas:

  • Selected operating data
  • For the operating data that is displayed in the individual user levels (access authorizations), please refer to: User level.

    Standstill periods and driving times

07h Time slices in drive, brake and standstill classes This operating data field specifies the ratio of driving times to standstill periods. The driving times are divided into driving times and times with an active brake request. The brake request is sufficient for the classification. An activated converter brake is not required for that. The ratio of the individual times can be used to generate conclusions on the fuel consumption. Standstill periods with the engine running – especially unnecessary warm-up- und run-out phases – have a negative effect on the fuel consumption. The sum of the individual values is identical to the operating hours of the transmission (with the engine running).
09h Number of revolutions at the output in drive and brake classes In this operating data field, the number of revolutions at the transmission output (n2) is cumulated. The values are stated for forward and reverse driving. The forward gears are stated individually. The values allow for the calculation of the total distance in forward and reverse gear and additionally the gear-dependent distance shares.
03h Frequency of a stop time class in the warm-up phase The stop duration classes contain information on how long the vehicle has been standing with the engine running and how often one of the defined standstill classes has been occupied. Knowledge of the frequency of stop duration classes supports conclusions on the fuel consumption. Stop duration classes are available for the standstill periods before the start of the drive (warm-up phase), between drive sections and for the run-out phase of the engine if the drive is not continued.
04h Frequency of a stop time class between drive sections The stop duration classes contain information on how long the vehicle has been standing with the engine running and how often one of the defined standstill classes has been occupied. Knowledge of the frequency of stop duration classes supports conclusions on the fuel consumption. Stop duration classes are available for the standstill periods before the start of the drive (warm-up phase), between drive sections and for the run-out phase of the engine if the drive is not continued.
05h Frequency of a stop time class in the run-out phase The stop duration classes contain information on how long the vehicle has been standing with the engine running and how often one of the defined standstill classes has been occupied. Knowledge of the frequency of stop duration classes supports conclusions on the fuel consumption. Stop duration classes are available for the standstill periods before the start of the drive (warm-up phase), between drive sections and for the run-out phase of the engine if the drive is not continued.

25h Gear-dependent speed profile This data field shows the speed profile for all gears. It is generated by reducing the gear-dependent speed profile to the speed axis. This data field shows the dwell time in the gears during the drive. It is generated by reducing the gear-dependent speed profile to the gear axis.
22h Auxiliary equipment losses with the vehicle in standstill For the assessment which performances are to the disadvantage of the auxiliary equipment in the vehicle, the engine torques during standstill in accelerator pedal position 0 are cumulated when the gear is in neutral or ANS. A standstill without ANS does not make for a cumulation in this field. If aggregates such as kneeling or air conditioning system are active, the engine will supposedly have a correspondingly high torque even in standstill. A part of that (~ 50Nm) is caused by the transmission. The rest above this basic requirement is caused by the auxiliary equipment.

    Braking behavior

30h Frequency of an output speed class upon braking start Cumulated number of retarder brake operations beginning in the displayed speed classes. The speed class changes during braking. Nevertheless, only the class present at the start of the retarder braking is cumulated, i.e. only one class of the operating data field is incremented per braking.
31h Time slices in a M2-n2 class during braking In this field, the braking torque classes during the retarder braking are cumulated. Several braking torques can be passed through during braking. Therefore, in this case, the cumulation is carried out in several classes per braking operation. In this field, the output speed classes during the retarder braking are cumulated. Several output speed classes can be passed through during braking. Therefore, in this case, the cumulation is carried out in several classes per braking operation.
32h Time slices in a braking duration/braking torque class This data field shows the distribution of the frequency of braking duration classes. This data field shows the average braking torque during braking. The assessment is carried out after each braking operation. The average braking torque is determined by dividing the cumulated individual values by the number of time slices.
