Description Unknown fault.
Effects on the driving operation Unable to detect temperature, possible consequences: Hard shifts with transmission oil cold. The temperature-related deactivation of the retarder is restricted.
Possible causes The cause might be a cable break or short-circuit to supply voltage. If the error 'Reference voltage too high' is also present, this indicates a short-circuit to supply voltage. If only one temperature sensor reports this error, there might be a cable break at this sensor.
Location Engine speed sensor (negative terminal of sensor or sensor circuit)
Instruction Check plug connections, cabling and sensor.
