Description The flexible output FLEXO-HI-0 of the gear range selector can not be activated.
Effects on the driving operation The flexible output FLEXO-HI-0 is non-functional.
Possible causes An external voltage prevents activation of the transistor. Gear range selector defective.
Connection of flexible output FLEXO-H1
Connector pin assignment of CAN gear selector switch
Place of action Gear range selector connector
Troubleshooting
Check with a multimeter whether external voltage acts on the output. For that, unplug the connector and measure to ground at the connector pin of the output. There must not be any voltage applied. Check whether the output is overloaded. If necessary, measure the current with a multimeter by measuring the current between +IGN line and output at the unplugged connector. A maximum current of 0.5A is permitted. Attention: Before that, please check which function is controlled by the output so that this does not result in dangerous driving states. Only carry out this test with the vehicle being in parking position (best with the engine switched off)! Replace the gear range selector.

Final function check If the defective component cannot be clearly identified, you should try to reproduce the fault:
After the fault has been eliminated, the following steps have to be carried out:
These steps are necessary to ensure the entire vehicle functions. See also:
