Service - Shift program configuration

With the Shift program configuration, the SP-SEL switch (switch for shift program selection) is assigned the required shift program. This switch can be provided optionally in the vehicle. The shift program properties profiles, such as taking the topography into account, can also be specified.

Valid platforms:

  • DIWA.3 via E200
  • DIWA.3 via E310
  • DIWA.5
  • DIWA.6 via KWP
  • DIWA.6 via UDS
  • DIWAhybrid E300.1

How to open the shift program configuration:

The shift program configuration is accessed via the Service group in the main window. Then select the Shift Program Configuration button in the Service menu.

Reporting

The shift program configuration is offered depending on the connected ECU. The shift program configuration is not available without communication.

Reporting

The display changes automatically after you have started the communication.

How to change the shift program configuration:

The shift program configuration is arranged in the form of a matrix. There are three vertical columns for the SP-SEL switch positions +24 V, OPEN and GND. Each of these three selector positions is assigned one of the six shift programs (SP1 to SP6). Shift program properties such as "execute with kickdown" can be activated. Properties which are not available in the transmission software version that is used are grayed out and cannot be activated. If you have set the required shift program configuration, save the changes using the "Write" button

To change the shift program configuration, you need the corresponding authorization. Your access authorization is displayed top right in the window.

Display for E300 range of controllers:

Reporting

Only 2 SP switch positions and the SP1 to SP5 shift programs are available for the E200 controllers.

Display of the E200 range of controllers:

Reporting

The current SP switch position is visualized by the red frame and symbolized SP switch.

Selectable shift programs
Shift program Description
SP1 Program economy level ground Early shift points for low fuel consumption on level ground
SP2 Program economy uphill Compared to SP1: Later upshift points and earlier downshift points for lower fuel consumption on uphill sections
SP3 Program power level ground Compared to SP1: All shift points increased for more agile driving on level ground
SP4 Program power uphill Compared to SP3: Later upshift points and earlier downshift points for more agile driving on uphill sections
SP5 Program - Special customer request This is a customer-specific shift program. The program is often used for SORT test drives.
SP6 SensoTop program Topography-dependent shift program

SensoTop characteristics

The SensoTop shift program is adapted between ECO (x%) und POWER (xx%) via the power characteristic. The Min. and Max. limits are dependent on the transmission software that is used and can therefore vary.

Shift program characteristic profiles for selection
Option Description
Shift program as FIXSP The shift program uses fixed shift points. In the default configuration, acceleration-based shifting programs (BASP) with dynamic shift points are activated. With BASP, the shift points are adjusted to the driving behavior and the load, for example. With FIXSP, the shift points are always the same.
Kickdown "Execute with kickdown" causes the shift points to be set to maximum acceleration during a kickdown. Kickdown is activated by default.
Old. Engine torque characteristic curve Consideration of an alternative engine torque characteristic curve is used for torque limiting that results in fuel saving. The program is often used for SORT test drives.
Acceleration limit Considering the acceleration limitation helps to save fuel. The program is often used for SORT test drives.
Acceleration limit with KD Flag whether the acceleration limit is also active with kickdown - only applies to active acceleration limit
Engine/transmission disconnection when braking in 1st gear The shift points are adapted to the current topography (uphill, downhill).
