All TIM data are entered and displayed in the TIM Configuration window. The TIM (Transmission Identification Module) is a storage module that is installed in the transmission and not in the transmission controller. It is the electronic nameplate of a DIWA transmission and contains information on the transmission design. TIM data is essential for the correct functioning of the transmission software. TIM data is entered when the transmission is manufactured and must never be changed, except for transmission conversions.
The TIM configuration is accessed via the Service group in the main window. Then select the TIM configuration button in the Service menu.

The TIM configuration is offered depending on the connected ECU. The TIM configuration is not available without communication.
The display changes automatically after you have started the communication.
ALADIN reads the current TIM configuration automatically when opening the TIM configuration. The individual TIM entries can then be edited. The new TIM data are written to the TIM using the "Write to TIM" button.
You need "Write to ECU" if the TIM is not present or faulty. In this way you can write the TIM configuration directly to the transmission controller.
Do not use this function if a TIM is connected. At each "ignition on", the transmission controller reads the configuration from the TIM. Your change in the transmission controller would be overwritten by the configuration from the TIM.
During the writing process, ALADIN will start the communication several times and carry out a software reset on the controller. The individual steps are displayed in the "Message Ticker" with a blue border.
