There are three ways of opening ECU files. Via the folder symbol on the menu bar, double-clicking on an ECU file and via Drag&Drop to the empty Reporting area.

You also have quick access to your latest uploads using the "Last used files" button.

You can also open several ECU files or whole folders with ECU files by Drag&Drop.
ALADIN generates a report for each upload to an ECU file. While ALADIN is generating the reports, the progress of the current report and the number of remaining reports are displayed.
The "X" button for stopping generation of the reports is to the right of the number of jobs.

For every generated report you are given a tab. This reduces the Drag&Drop area to the empty area next to the tabs.
You can also open a tab in a new window. To do so, drag a tab out of the Drag&Drop area with the left mouse key pressed. You can also re-sort the tabs by dragging them with the mouse. The reverse transformation from a window to a tab is done by dragging it back into the Drag&Drop area. Alternatively, you can use the button with the arrow in the window.

You can use the Tabs menu to close and rename various tabs. You can also (if available in your authorization) add the reports to a fleet or delta report.

The overview shows your current vehicle, the number of entries in the fault memory, key figures such as the total mileage and the current shifting program at a glance. For a detailed analysis, simply select the corresponding chapter in the Reporting.

You can find the event memory in the Event Memory chapter. The entries of the fault memory are displayed here. For each entry, you are given as much additional information as possible. This includes the fault location and type of fault. The possible cause and the actions to take to clear the fault. You are also given information on whether the fault is currently pending or not, how often the fault has already occurred, and when and under what conditions the fault occurred.

If available, you are given detailed instructions for clearing the fault via the Repair Manual link button. If no instructions are available, the link button is grayed out and cannot be clicked.

The current setting of the fault filter is displayed in the upper area of the event memory.

The Comparison report enables you to set various ECU files in relation to each other.

For a Comparison report, first select the corresponding ECU files. To do so, open the vehicle selection using the "Comparison report" button.

ECU files can be added and removed again using the buttons in the lower area. You can also drag ECU files into the vehicle selection using Drag&Drop.
The ECU file list can be sorted as required by dragging onto an ECU file with the left mouse key pressed. The vehicles are sorted in the same order in the subsequent report.
Right-clicking can be used to open a context menu for sorting according to the most frequent criteria.

You can navigate in the individual uploads in an ECU file using the triangle symbol in front of each ECU file or by double-clicking an entry. Here you can assign a color to each upload and allocate a name to the report.

When you have completed your selection, generate the Comparison report using the "Create" button.

In the following, ALADIN asks whether you want to generate a static or interactive report. The difference between them is that vehicles can be hidden in graphics and tables in the dynamic report. This option takes significantly longer to create and needs more system power for the display. A static report is therefore recommended for larger comparisons.

When you open the vehicle overview in a dynamic report, a list of all vehicles appears in the Comparison report.

If you want to show or hide a vehicle, place a checkmark against the checkbox in the "Use" line and then press the Update button.

The Delta report is used to calculate the difference between two ECU files. The delta calculation contains the operating data incl. the associated key figures and the adaptation data. Other data areas (such as the event memory) are not included.

For a Delta report, two ECU files are first selected. To do this, open the vehicle selection using the "Delta Report" button. The order of the vehicle selection does not matter. During the delta calculation ALADIN sorts both ECU files automatically according to the mileage.

You can navigate in the individual uploads in an ECU file using the triangle symbol in front of each ECU file or by double-clicking an entry. Here you have the possibility to assign a color to each upload and allocate a name for the report. When you have completed your selection, generate the Delta report using the "Create" button.

As an alternative to the Delta report, you can also save the delta calculation in a new ECU file using the "Delta ECU file" button. This lets you compare several delta files in a Comparison report, for example.
