    • Tightening torque 14 Nm.

  3. Insert the two plugs (5) into the temperature/oil level sensor (7).

Install the directly wired temperature/oil level sensor

Install the directly wired temperature/oil level sensor

  1. Mount the oil level sensor (1).

  2. Insert the plug (2) on the oil level sensor (1).

    • Make sure that the guide tube of the oil dipstick (3) is guided through the bore in the butt strap (4).

  3. Screw the pipeline with holder (5) with a hexagon bolt (6) to the transmission housing.

1.2 DIWA 5, replace the converter temperature sensor

To remove the converter temperature sensor, the control block cover must first be removed.

Removal

    Removing the oil temperature sensor

  1. Unplug the plug connection between the cable harness and connection to the oil sump temperature sensor/oil level sensor (2) with special tool (1).

  2. Unplug the plug between the cable harness and converter oil temperature sensor (3).

  3. Unscrew the converter oil temperature sensor.

Removing the permanently wired temperature sensor

Installation

    Mounting the converter temperature sensor

    1. Adapter screw for converter temperature sensor

    2. Connection to the temperature/oil level sensor in the oil sump

  1. Screw in the adapter screw for converter temperature sensor M14x1.5 (1).

    • Tightening torque 15 Nm.

    • Use special tools

  2. Installing the directly wired temperature sensor

  3. Screw the directly wired converter temperature sensor into the adapter screw.

  4. Insert the plug to the oil sump temperature/oil level sensor (2) with the special tool.

  5. Tighten union nut (1).

    • Tightening torque 15 Nm.

1.3 Replace DIWA.5 speed sensors

Removal

NOTICE

Never use an impact screwdriver to dismount the speed sensors!

Speed sensors can be damaged.

  • Dismount the speed sensors carefully manually with suitable tools.

  1. Disconnect the plug connectors of the speed sensors from the cable harness.

  2. Unscrew screws from the speed sensors.

Installation

NOTICE

Incorrect distance between speed sensors and pulse-generator wheel!

Risk of destruction of speed sensors.

  1. Adjust distance with spacers.

NOTICE

Mount the speed sensors only with suitable tools!

Speed sensors can be damaged.

  • Never use an impact screwdriver to mount the speed sensors.

  1. Insert new speed sensors.

  2. Set the distance between the speed sensors and the pulse-generator wheel using spacers.

    • The distance must be between 0.8 and 2.5 mm.

    • For N1 and N2, spacing washers are available for setting the distance between the speed sensor and the rotary sensor.

  3. Reuse installed spacers.

  4. Tighten the screws on the speed sensors.

    • Tightening torque 9 Nm.
