Using the Recording Details window

The Recording Details window contains information on the currently active measuring file. The Recording Details include the tabs ECU Identification, User Data, Comment and Fault Memory.

Click Options > Recording Details in the Recorder.

Click the OK button in the Recording Details. All changes in the comments and user data of the Recording Details will be saved. If you do not want to save the changes, exit the window using the Cancel button.

The Recording Details include the tabs "ECU Identification", "User Data", "Comment" and "Fault Memory". The "Fault Memory" tab displays the current contents of the fault memory (transmission control unit E200) or the event memory (transmission control units E300 and E300.1).

You can add any comments in the "Comment" tab. If you send a measuring file as an e-mail, the comments are added automatically as the e-mail text.

The "ECU Identification" tab displays the identification data of the connected control unit. Identification data cannot be changed. For further information on the contents of the identification data, please see the corresponding product descriptions.

You can enter user data in the "User Data" tab. To do so, double-click the entry you wish to change and enter the required values.
