Display the history storage in the report

The history storage traces all activities that are connected with the transmission control unit in chronological order. This includes, for example, the shift program configuration using an external diagnostic tester or changes in the dataset values. Maximum 50 entries can be made in the history storage. If all 50 locations of the history storage are occupied, the oldest event with multiple entries will be deleted. If no multiple entries are provided, the oldest entry will be deleted because the history storage is designed as a FIFO memory (First In First Out). This is why the sequence of events is stored automatically in chronological order. Every event that is entered in the history storage is provided with a successive event number and a time stamp. The time stamp is composed of a relative time indication and, if provided, an absolute time indication. Entries regarding the transmission and the vehicle mileage are also made. For further information, please see: Operational principle and clearing the history storage.

The history storage is available as of transmission software version E300.1-D5.2.0.0.

Column Description

1

Successive event counter. This counter may be incomplete if the transmission control unit has deleted obsolete elements (lines) from the history storage.

2

Date in the format: year - month - day. Describes the time when the event occurred. This information is transmitted to the transmission control unit via the CAN bus and is not provided if the data is not available on the CAN bus.

3

Time in the format: hours : minutes : seconds. Describes the time when the event occurred. This information is transmitted to the transmission control unit via the CAN bus and is not provided if the data is not available on the CAN bus.

4

System time elapsed in the format hours : minutes : seconds. Calculated time span between reading out the history storage and the occurrence of the event. The internal system time is running as long as the ignition is switched on. The system time elapsed therefore indicates how long the transmission control unit was turned on since the event has occurred.

5

Mileage of the vehicle in kilometers. This information is transmitted to the transmission control unit via the CAN bus and is not provided if the data is not available on the CAN bus.

6

Mileage of the transmission in kilometers. The transmission mileage is calculated using the operating data.

7

Description of the event in the history storage, e.g.: A new software has been loaded.
