Using the ECU report
The ALADIN ECU report is the central display tool for all diagnostic issues. During vehicle diagnosis, the "Upload" function reads out all the relevant data from a transmission control unit and displays it in the report subsequently. An ECU report includes the following data:

In principle, there are four options of opening / creating an ALADIN report:
Carry out an upload. The current data is read out from a connected transmission control unit and a new report is created automatically. If you want to perform an upload, click Upload in the main window. For further information, please see:
Upload.
- Open a report:
- During an upload, an ECU file is created that includes all the data of a transmission control unit and will be stored on the hard disk of your PC. You can open a report with this ECU file. Click the Report button in the main window. The Select ECU File window appears. Select the required ECU file and confirm with Open.
- You can open a report, e.g., in the Windows Explorer by double-clicking an ECU file. The Voith Reporter is started automatically. In the standard configuration, ECU files are saved in the directory: "C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\MyDocuments"
. You can change the standard folder in the ALADIN Setup. Please refer to:
Setup directories.
- Open the Voith Reporter by double-clicking the Reporter desktop icon.
Click the Open ECU file button in the Reporter menu. The Select ECU File window appears. Select an ECU file and confirm with Open.
- Create a report comparison:
- Report difference calculation
Operating data is recorded throughout the entire transmission runtime and never deleted. However, it is often interesting to show the differences between two different points in time. This can be achieved by calculating the report difference. Similar to resetting the trip recorder in the car, you create an ECU file by uploading data. This file provides the basis for calculating the difference. You perform another upload at a later point in time and create another ECU file. The Voith Reporter provides the option of comparing these files to each other and of displaying the differences in a report. For further information, please see:
Difference report.

The ECU report is displayed as an HTML page in the Voith Browser and is split into three frames. The left frame includes the navigation that you can use to select the required contents by clicking the corresponding symbol. The right frame (content) displays the corresponding data. The general content area is located on top of the window.
