Template functions

You can use templates to save service data from ALADIN on the local hard disk of your PC and reload them to ALADIN. Templates are always stored in the file ServiceTemplate.hex in the folder "C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My documents".

How to use the Save Template function

Click the Save template button in the Service window. This function saves all entries from the service tabs vehicle, engine, transmission, customer and service that are currently visible in the ServiceDataTemplate.hex file. Any existing template file will be overwritten.

How to use the Get Template function:

Click the Get template button in the Service window. This function reads the ServiceDataTemplate.hex file (if provided) and thus fills all Service tabs.

User tip:

You can create a personal template with your data as a service employee (Save Template). Thus it is not necessary to enter this data every time but you can load the data automatically to ALADIN with Get Template. You can also load templates directly to the transmission control unit using the download process.  For this purpose, you must deactivate the download hardware check in the ALADIN Setup or assign a name to your template including the hardware identifier, e.g.: "E300.1-required name.hex".
