Test steps

1. If the warning light for transmission oil is defective, replace light bulb.
2. Open S2 plug connection.
   Check resistance between appropriate contact (of cable 2) and vehicle ground.
   With light bulb: R_Target = approx. 160 Ω.
   Without light bulb: R_Target = ∞ Ω.
3. Measure resistance between appropriate contact and lead of the connecting cable to the transmission oil warning light.
   R_Target = 0 Ω.
4. Measure resistance between – warning light cable and ground.
   R_Target = 0 Ω.
