Description

The allowed measuring time for the PWM signal has been exceeded.

Effects on the driving operation

Hard, in strong engines no shifts.

No ANS

Possible causes

No signal edge of a PWM signal could be determined within a specified maximum time.

The cause can be the engine control unit that fails to deliver a signal or sends an invalid signal or a loosened connector or connector pin or a defective cable.

Place of action

No description available.

Instruction

Check engine control unit and/or connector/cable.

Setting conditions of the event

Testing conditions of the event

Final function check

If the defective component cannot be clearly identified, you should try to reproduce the fault:

  • Reinstall the component in the vehicle.
  • Test function.

After the fault has been eliminated, the following steps have to be carried out:

  • Conduct a test drive with function check.
  • Read the fault memory
  • Check transmission for leaks.
  • Perform a final visual inspection.

These steps are necessary to ensure the entire vehicle functions correctly.
