Setup - Report tab


In the Report tab, you can set the information to be displayed in the report and the formatting of this information. For information on the individual sections of an ALADIN report, please refer to: Report.

The ALADIN Setup default settings correspond to the diagnostic tasks of the 'Customer' and 'Service' user levels!

 

How to open the Setup window:

Click Setup in the ALADIN main window.

How to save in the Setup window:

Click the Exit button in the Setup window. The dialog "Save ALADIN Setup" appears. Click Yes if you want to accept the settings in the Setup. Click No if you want to discard the changes.

ECU report information

Report pages displayed

You can use this menu to control the display of the report pages. Selection is made using check boxes that can be activated or deactivated accordingly. This is why multiple selection is possible.

All pages / chapters in the ECU report are always activated by default.

  Report / chapter / page    
Service data All the service data stored in the transmission control unit is displayed in the report. For further information on the service data, please see: Service data.  
Identification data The most important identification data is displayed in a compressed form in the report. For further information on the identification data, please see: Identification data.  
  Raw data table This selection displays the raw data of the identification data in a table. For further information on the identification data, please see: Identification data.

Note: The identification data must have been activated to display the raw data!

 
Event memory Displays all entries in the event memory in a compressed form in the report. For further information on the event memory, please see: Event memory.  
History storage The complete contents of the history storage are displayed in the report.  
Indices Displays the indices in the report. For further information on the indices, please see: Indices.  
Operating data The display of operating data in the report is controlled in this menu. For further information on the operating data, please see: Operating data.  
Dwell time analysis Displays the dwell time analysis in the report. For further information on dwell time analysis, please see: Dwell time analysis.  
SORT diagrams Displays the SORT diagrams in the report. For further information on SORT, please see: SORT.  
Adaptation data Displays the adaptation data in the report. For further information on the adaptation data, please see: Adaptation.  
Dataset analysis This setting is used for the display of the dataset analysis in the report. For further information on the dataset analysis, please see: Dataset analysis.

Note: The HEX file and the VDD file of the dataset are required for this purpose.

 
I/O configuration Displays the I/O configuration of the control unit in the report. For further information on the I/O configuration, please see: Configuration.

CAN configuration This setting displays the CAN source address configuration of control unit and vehicle. For further information on the CAN configuration, please see: Scourcer.  
LIds Displays the LId data (LocalIdentifier) of the transmission control unit in the report. For further information on LId, please see: LId.  
EOL This setting displays the EOL data (EndOfLine) of the control unit in the report. For further information on EOL, please see: EOL.  

 

Units in the report

Here you can set the unit to be used for displaying the report contents. Selection is made using radio buttons that can be activated or deactivated accordingly. This is why multiple selection is not possible.

  Option Description  
Basic units    
SI units SI (abbreviation for: Système international d'unités ) is the metrical unitary system that is legally prescribed for economy and trade within the EC. These include, e.g.: km/h, km, m, °C.  
US units US units are units of measure that are common in the USA. These include, e.g.: mph, mi, yd, °F. For further information on units, please refer to: SI and US units.  

 

Voith recommend activating the "SI units" option.

   

Operating data visualization

Here you can define how your operating data is visualized. Selection is made using check boxes that can be activated or deactivated accordingly. This is why multiple selection is possible.

  Option Description  
Display field value total Defines whether the field value total of an operating date is displayed.  
Display percentage total Defines whether the percentage total of an operating date is displayed.  
Display relative portion Defines whether the relative portion of an operating date is displayed.  
Display absolute portion Defines whether the absolute portion of an operating date is displayed.  

 

Voith recommend selecting all four options. (default setting)

   

Event memory filter

You can select whether a filter is used for displaying the event memory. Selection is made using check boxes that can be activated or deactivated accordingly. This is why multiple selection is possible. Depending on the user level, a note in the event memory of the ECU report indicates whether the filter is active / inactive.

    Filter Description  
  Filter On/Off If this check box is activated, a filter has been set in the event memory.  
  Display priority 1 If this check box is activated, priority 1 is displayed in the event memory. If it is not activated, events of this priority will not be displayed.  
  Display priority 2 If this check box is activated, priority 2 is displayed in the event memory. If it is not activated, events of this priority will not be displayed.  
  Display priority 3 If this check box is activated, priority 3 is displayed in the event memory. If it is not activated, events of this priority will not be displayed.  
  Display priority 4 If this check box is activated, priority 4 is displayed in the event memory. If it is not activated, events of this priority will not be displayed.  
  Display priority 5 If this check box is activated, priority 5 is displayed in the event memory. If it is not activated, events of this priority will not be displayed.  
  Display priority 6 If this check box is activated, priority 6 is displayed in the event memory. If it is not activated, events of this priority will not be displayed.  
  Display priority 7 If this check box is activated, priority 7 is displayed in the event memory. If it is not activated, events of this priority will not be displayed.  
  Display priority 8 If this check box is activated, priority 8 is displayed in the event memory. If it is not activated, events of this priority will not be displayed.  

 

 

You need the 'Service' user level (access authorization) or higher to access the event memory configuration.
