Display the indices in the report

Indices contain compressed quantitative information on the vehicle and/or transmission application. The indices are calculated from the operating data that has been recorded and cumulated during transmission operation. The index is usually calculated each time the vehicle is in standstill, i.e. at the end of each drive section, and they support the quick analysis of vehicle application (standstill times, fuel consumption, distance evaluation, etc.).

For further information, please see: Operating data.

The display of the header data:

The header data are basic and correction values required for calculating the operating data and, consequently, also for the indices. For further information, please see: Header data.

How to adjust the report contents:

In the ALADIN Setup, you can configure what is displayed and how it is displayed in the ECU report. Click Setup > Report in the main window. For further information, please see: Report setup.

How to delete the indices:

The indices are part of the operating data and can only be deleted together with the operating data. Operating data is cumulated throughout the entire transmission runtime and is therefore deleted only in exceptional cases.  To change the operating data, click Adjust > Reset > Delete operating data in the main window. Please observe your user level.

FAQs on the indices:

I have an ECU file without indices. How can it happen?

If you have read out the event memory using the Events window and created a report using this information, the operating data has not been read out (ECU file is not complete). Please always perform an Upload to create a complete report.

Why are the indices of the first 100km so imprecise?

Integers are used for calculating the index value. The rounding error on the first 100 km is therefore greater than 1%.
