Recorder quick start instruction
The Recorder is a program for acquiring and saving measuring data in Voith DIWA transmissions.
If an older version of the Recorder is already installed on your PC, you must remove it first. Personal settings and existing measuring files will not be deleted. For this purpose, you can use the entry Remove in the Recorder program group. You can now start the setup program of the Recorder. Detailed installation/removal instructions can be found under:
Installation.
Before you can perform a measurement, you must first connect the K-line interface between the vehicle diagnostic port and your PC. Furthermore, you must configure the interface used in the Recorder Setup. The serial interface at the RS232 port COM1 has been set by default. For further information, please see: K-line interfaces and Recorder properties.

To configure, start the Recorder and click: File > Program properties > Recording.

You can now start a measurement. Make sure you have turned the ignition on. Then press the Record button. The Recorder now attempts to establish communication with a connected transmission control unit and then loads a measuring template file that contains the standard measuring instruments. The status display should now light up green. If the status display lights up red, check the cabling and the COM port settings once more.
The recording status is now standby. In short: Measuring data is displayed but not recorded. Click the
Record button to record measuring data. The following status appears now: Record.

You can use the Recorder buttons as with a cassette recorder. You can stop or continue the recording at any time.
