Using the Service window
In the Service window, all the service-relevant data is entered. This data is used to optimize services, allocate an ECU file to a service case and to manage the ECU data in the central Voith database. This includes information on:
The complete service data is stored in the read-only memory of the transmission control unit without having any influence on other data. Modifications, e.g., in the operating data do not affect the service data. During transmission acceptance (PDI - PreDelivery Inspection), this data must be entered by the Voith customer service.
Click the Service and then the Service data button in the main window. All the service data is read automatically from a connected transmission control unit.
The complete service data can be edited directly in the corresponding input fields. For certain input fields, lists with the common entries are offered in so-called combo boxes. Numeric service data allows the entry of numbers only. For example, you cannot enter letters for the vehicle's curb weight. Only the point is permitted as the decimal separator.
If you want to save service data in the transmission control unit, click the Write to ECU button. Alternatively: The Save dialog window is displayed if you exit the Service window. In addition, you can use templates to save service data on the local hard disk of your computer and reload them. Please refer to: Using the Get Template and Save Template functions.
- If you want to change individual information in the transmission control unit, edit the corresponding input fields and then save the changes using the Write to ECU button.
- If you want to delete the complete data in the transmission control unit, perform a reset using the Reset Functions diagnostic function. For this purpose, select Service > RESET functions > Delete service data in the main window.
The "Write to ECU" function not only stores service data in the transmission control unit but also creates a file with the name ServiceInfo.hex in the folder "C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My documents". When using the "Write to ECU" function offline (without connected transmission control unit), the ServiceInfo.hex file is still created. You can load this file to the transmission control unit at any time by using the normal
download process.
