Recording

  • Click "Start record" (10).
DIANA 5 tries to communicate with the transmission control unit and loads an appropriate measuring template. This template contains different displays (virtual measuring instruments) that display the data of the transmission control unit (ECU).

Depending on the measuring template, the displays may be distributed on several pages, the so-called front panels (13).
While the recording is active, you can switch between the front panels using the function "Switch front panels" (14) via the numeric keys or via the options menu.
As soon as data is received from the ECU, the status display (15) will burn green.
The recording status is now "standby", meaning that data are now displayed but not yet recorded.

  • Click again "Start record" (10).
Recording is started and the status is now "record".

You can pause and continue recording at any time.

Save

  • Click "Save measuring data" (2) to save the recording.

The files are saved by default to the directory C:\Programm Files\DIWAgnosis 3.x\Records.

Trigger display

If the trigger display is active, the display may show "No Trg" in the recording status instead of "record". In this case, the recorder will only record if the measuring data meet the predefined trigger conditions.
The recorder will then record all shifting and braking operations.

You can deactivate the Trg function at any time by clicking the button "Activate/deactivate trigger function" (11); all signals will then be recorded.

You can change the trigger criteria via the menu "Recorder", menu item "Trigger settings...".

Open measuring file

You can open a stored measuring file via menu "File", menu item "Open". You can continue the measurement or play the file back.

Select event

You can select a time event by clicking the button "Select event" or pressing the space bar. A window opens where you can name the event.

Information

You can view information about the transmission by clicking the button "Show information" or in the menu "Options", open the submenu "dataseting details...".
